Magic Roundabout Memorabilia
Below are just a few of the vintage Corgi toys and figures, based on the Magic Roundabout characters of Florence, Dougal, Dylan and Zebedee. These collectible toys will delight children of all ages and we have obtained some excellent examples of these magical toys, musical carousels and playgrounds.
With the release of the new film these vintage items have become very collectible and it is a joy to find so many good pieces. We have tried to describe the items as fully as possible and the photographs are a fair representation of the condition. Please e-mail us if you need more information.

ITEM MRT001 - Magic Roundabout Playground Set (Boxed)

Corgi item#853 - copyright date on box 1972. This set contains a decorated playground with hand operated railway track, train with Mr Rusty the driver, rotating carousel, revolving platform which plays Roundabout theme tune, automatic rocking see-saw, park bench, 2 trees and 2 bushes.
Figures include: 2 Standing Dylans, 2 Rosalies, Basil, Florence, Paul, Dougal, standing Zebedee, Brian the Snail and including a Mr McHenry Trike with Zebedee in the back.
Condition of set: very good – musical movement and see-saw fully operational. Hand operated carousel and train track in good working order. The plastic base shows a few surface scratches due to age and the ‘garden’ sticker in the centre shows slight fading again due to age.
Train condition: mechanically very good, stickers are all present but show signs of play wear. This set is very hard to find in such good condition.
Box rating: 7 ⁄ 10 – a very nice example for a vintage toy of this age. Top of box shows no tape marks or major wear. Slight wear and weakness at the corners. This set is very collectible and a similar has featured in the television programme ‘This Morning’.

ITEM MRT002 - Magic Roundabout Playground Set (Unboxed)

Corgi item#853 produced in the early 1970′s. This set contains decorated playground with hand operated railway track, train with Mr Rusty, rotating carousel, revolving platform which plays roundabout theme tune, automatic rocking see-saw, park bench, 3 trees and 2 bushes.
Figures: standing Dylan, sitting Dylan, Paul, Basil, Rosalie, Florence, standing Zebedee, Dougal, standing Ermintrude, and extra Rosalie figure.
Condition of set: good – musical platform and see-saw fully operational. Hand operated carousel and train track in good working order. The plastic base shows some play wear and marks. Garden Sticker in the centre is bright with very little wear
Train condition: mechanically very good but one edge of winder has cracked off - this does not affect the working. Train stickers show some play wear.Top train carriage sticker has one corner missing.

ITEM MRT003 - Corgi Magic Roundabout (boxed)

Corgi item#852 - the copyright date on box is 1972. A prime example of this magical toy. This set contains main roundabout and rotating carousel with Swiss musical movement which plays the Magic Roundabout theme tune.
Figures include, standing Dylan (for winder), Rosalie, Paul, Florence, Basil - all in near mint condition. Stickers in good condition, no fading, but the front Magic Roundabout sticker shows slight background marking.The musical movement is in full working order.
Box rating: 7 ⁄ 10 – nice example of this box. The print and background is still bright with no fading. There is one sticker mark on top front and the edge of top flap is slightly torn. Very collectible and becoming very rare due to interest from new film.

ITEM MRT004 - Corgi Magic Roundabout (unboxed)

Corgi item#852. A prime example of this magical toy from the 1970’s. This set contains the main roundabout with rotating carousel and Swiss musical movement which plays the Magic Roundabout theme tune.
The figures included – standing Dylan (for winder), Rosalie, Paul, Florence and Basil – are in generally good condition but show some play wear.
Stickers generally in good condition but do show fading due to age . Winder has glue residue possibly because at some point Dylan was fixed to winder. The musical movement is in full working order. Very collectible and becoming very rare due to renewed interest from the film.

ITEM MRT005 - Corgi McHenry ′s Trike (boxed)

Corgi Item#859 - copyright on box 1972. It is very rare to find this item with a box in such good condition.
Condition of toy: closest to mint we have seen – no scratches or marks, just very slight rubbing on McHenry′s hand. Pop-up Zebedee in trailer in full working order.
Box rating: 7 ⁄ 10 - no marks or tears . Cellophane screen shows denting to top and front. Contains small instructional sheet with original blue plastic towing string still sealed in bag.

ITEM MRT006 - Corgi Magic Roundabout Train (boxed)

Corgi item#851 - copyright on box 1972. This set contains the train and carriages, with Mr Rusty the driver and Paul, Rosalie and Dougal as passengers.
Condition of toy: the overall condition of the train is very good. Stickers are bright with very little wear, unfortunately train towing hook has been broken at some point and repaired. This does not affect the working order of the train.
Box rating: 5 ⁄ 10 – no tears to card but the box has been pushed out of shape at the top and cellophane is pushed in and has slight tear. Still a nice box to display the train.

Corgi item#807 - copyright on box 1971. This car contains fixed figures of Dougal, Dylan and Brian the snail.
Condition of toy: near mint – a few minute chips to paintwork the largest below door sticker. Stickers all present and still bright with no play wear.
Box rating: 8 ⁄ 10 - no rips or tears and the front cellophane is rigid with no dents or cracks. To top of box slight marking due to age.

Corgi item#807 - produced in the early 1970′s. The car contains fixed figures of Dougal, Dylan and Brian the snail.
Condition of toy: very playworn. Stickers all present showing slight wear. Both Dylans ears still in place.
Much loved item and would make a nice toy for a new fan.

ITEM MRT009 - Corgi McHenry′s Trike (unboxed)

Corgi item#859 - produced in the early 1970′s. This trike features McHenry with pop-up Zebedee in back trailer.
Condition of trike: very good – shows just a few chips to paintwork and all stickers are present.
Both figures in good condition but the lifting lid on Zebedee’s pop-up box shows wear to paint.

ITEM MRT010 - Sugarlump Studio Trio

This trio of figures - Dylan Brian and McHenry - was hand made and hand painted in 1999 by the Sugarlump Studio.
These figures are highly collectible and in mint condition – never been displayed.
Come in original plain white boxes, with Sugarlump Studio stickers.
